What this means for you

  • The company accepts both mandatory and voluntary internships. Which rules apply depends on your situation: if your degree requires the internship, it's a Pflichtpraktikum (no minimum wage, doesn't count toward the 140-day limit for non-EU students). Otherwise it's voluntary (minimum wage after 3 months, counts toward the limit).
  • The posting doesn't mention pay. It's normal to ask about the Praktikumsvergütung before you accept an offer.
  • German at B2 level or higher is required. If you're still learning, look for listings labelled “German is a plus” or “English only”.
  • EU/EEA and Swiss students have no work-day limit and can work like German students.

General information, not legal advice. Rules can change and your situation may differ — check with your university, the employer or your Ausländerbehörde.
