Mohamed Hawass, Founder and Managing Director
Mohamed Hawass is the founder and managing director of Sinai Capital, a Berlin holding and investment company focused on talent, media and technology. He has more than 20 years of experience in software, digital products and marketing across Europe, the Middle East and South East Asia, and hosts the podcast The Mo Hangout.
Mohamed began his career in Dubai in 2005 as a software developer, building web solutions and digital content products. He moved into digital marketing in fintech, e-commerce and online media, and worked across Europe, the Middle East and South East Asia, often as a digital nomad.
In 2013 he earned an MBA in SME Development from SEPT, Leipzig University. In 2016 he founded Sinai Capital and Internsvalley in Berlin. He went on to found Remoteplatz GmbH in 2019 to connect European companies with remote tech talent, co-founded My Remote Balance in 2020, and founded the Berlin creative and media agency NAKTZ in 2024.
His work is driven by one belief: talented people should be able to build a career wherever they live, and companies should be able to find them. He also speaks openly about the other side of entrepreneurship. After experiencing burnout himself, he co-founded My Remote Balance so that others get support earlier.
Today he hosts The Mo Hangout, a bilingual Arabic and German podcast about building a life and career in Germany.
